Greenbank gets into the World Cup spirit

With Greenbank’s work in the field of international logistics combined with the love and passion for football from around the office, it was decided that the office should be decorated for South Africa’s World Cup 2010 fever. The office has been decorated with the flags of all 32 nations that have been competing for their countries in this 2010 world cup battle (We have also got Hungary and Poland, even though they missed out on qualifying for the tournament we felt that we could not leave them out due to the high volumes of work we do within their countries).
As well as having our colourful display of flags that put the other offices to shame, we have also installed a television to ensure that the staff at Greenbank do not miss any of the action for the games that kick off during office hours.
We are now into the final week of the World Cup fun, and it is looking hopeful for a Holland Vs Germany final, so all of the staff at Greenbank are looking forward to their two main countries of work battling it out against each other on the pitch. Hopefully this friendly competition between the countries will not cause too much tension within the transport field...
October 2009
Greenbank sets its plans ahead focussed on quality of service and continued growth.
In October 2009 Greenbank unveiled its new 2 year plan and growth strategy. Achieving double digit growth year on year has meant that Greenbank has had to constantly adapt to these ever changing circumstances. At the end of 2009 it was decided that a significant investment was needed to further modernise our business in order to:
The first of these steps was the re-launch of the Greenbank brand and the launch of the greenbanksolutions.com website
The second stage of this strategy has been to invest in the IT infrastructure of Greenbank. In doing this Greenbank is currently speaking to a number of leading Software companies as regards how we can utilise the latest technology to our advantage.
Testing is due to commence in late October on our new system which will encompass all of our customers requirements; from price quotations through to booking vehicles, from the storage of documentation through to the confirmation of deliveries. We are confident that the systems we choose will be of a huge benefit to our customers, and hope to have a further update soon.

Greenbank sponsors charity bike ride for MS

Greenbank were proud to be one of the key sponsors for a bike ride raising money for a Multiple Sclerosis charity.
Travelling from Lands end to John O’Groats, over 1400 KM’s, the ride took just under one week to complete.
Calum Donald, away from his day job of directing trucks around Europe, took to the saddle averaging 29km per hour over the course of his long Journey across the UK, whilst his record days riding saw his covering an impressive 251 KM’s. The photograph shows him at the offices of Greenbank in Chester, the midway point of the ride.
Greenbank are pleased to continue its tradition of charitable donations to a variety of highly worthwhile organisations. Greenbank has a policy of donating to charities instead of providing individual corporate gifts to our customers, as these are often not allowed in many businesses and we believe that by making charitable donations we are providing far better value for money whilst supporting the local community.
